However, last night I went to El Torito with friends so I knew I would probably go over my allocated calorie intake...so beforehand Ryan and I went for another beach run/walk, but even with that, I still went over my calories by 200! Oh well, win some, lose some!
Today's lunch was somewhat of a healthier choice - except for that foccacia bread - that damn foccacia bread put me over at 570 calories...but trust me, I enjoyed the 3 pieces I ate!
green apple & walnut salad from stone oven
Wow, they're generous with the bread!! Mmm, carbies. haha. Better to go over your calorie limit WITH exercise than just under it with no exercise.
ReplyDeletei would get really obsessive with myfitness diary when i first started and frustrated when i couldn't find the item in their system. it made eating stressful and frustrating...so i stopped. but i'm using it again...a little more loosely and trying not to get too crazed. it really helps to keep me in check. i think i've been over-eating. :/
ReplyDelete@ Eri - Yeah, it's so easy to be like, "OH NO ONLY 300 CALORIES LEFT FOR DINNER!" but at the end of the day, it's a good monitoring system, but try not to let it get the best of you. At the end of the day, it's about moderation and living a little! :)
DeleteOh, that salad looks incredible. I used to be so obsessed with myfitnessdiary/pal and I'm not so much anymore; but it's a great way to keep yourself on track, for sure. Hope you have a great weekend :)
ReplyDelete@Nikolett - That salad WAS good - the bread was even better! I know, once you start tracking your food, it's so easy to become overly-detailed and obsessive, then you just get over it just as quickly. I'm TRYING to stick with it...without annoying everyone, lol!
