what you'll need:
+ hair clip (like a claw clip)
+ 1" curling iron (i'm using hot tools ceramic curling iron)
+ hair spray

+ take 2/3 of your hair & clip it up
+ split hair down the middle
+ taking about 2" of hair (or in my case, dividing each half into another half)
+ curl hair about half-way up your hair (not all the way up to your scalp)
+ hold for about 3 - 5 seconds for a loose curl, longer for a tighter curl
+ repeat on other side

+ repeat curling process
+ make sure to grab any loosey goosey strands & curl them as well
+ let the rest of your hair down
+ guess what? repeat process!
+ grab your bangs & slightly curl them in - this should only be for a second or two
+ run your fingers through your hair making sure you don't have any straight strands
+ lightly hair spray
finished:

Love this post!!! I was thinking about getting a body wave, but that seemed too intense for me! This is the best idea!
ReplyDeleteYOU'RE SO DAMN PRETTY
ReplyDeletealso, your bathroom looks really clean/well lit. also, is that a cut up wifebeater? because that would be awesome.
it looks like you're going to show me how to cook something. Can you make me some cookies?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for you to do MY hair!
Thanks for the tutorial! You make it look so easy :(
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful as always!!
I'm so glad you're blogging again! You have great hair. I actually really like the before picture. I can't believe your hair is that straight in the morning. When I go to sleep with damp hair, it's in a million direction in the morning. Is that serum the secret?! I'm also Vietnamese and have similar hair in texture and length.
ReplyDeletemy fav curling iron, works so well
ReplyDeleteI love your hair worn straight! I'm trying to grow out my hair right now (it's in a bob with straight bangs) but it's taking forever, ugh.
ReplyDeleteon nights i take night-showers (sounds weird), i totally put a serum (CHI Silk Infusion) on just the ends of my hair too! WE ARE SO THE SAME. =)
